is there a way to change the name of a file before i download it to my pc
When I download a file it shows up in my download folder as "document.pdf". If I have more than one, the is a number after document. I then have to open each one to see what it is. Windows 10 64-bit
Chosen solution
If you change your download setting from a single fixed folder to showing the Save As dialog every time, you can edit the file name as well as choose the location. Please see this article for where to change that setting: Startup, home page, tabs, and download settings.
Does that work?

Installed Plug-ins

Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.0.5.146
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
