Why doesn't my weather gadget access the server any more?
Maybe this isn't actually a Mozilla problem (it just occurred to me). I selected Gadgets from the right click menu on my desktop (Dell with Windows 7) and selected the Weather gadget. It has worked fine for months, but about six days ago it stopped updating when I turned my modem on. Gradually it showed fewer and fewer predictions (normally it would show current day and three days ahead). Now it just displays an information icon and the message Cannot connect to service. I wondered if it was no longer compatible with Mozilla Firefox or maybe they are unrelated. Thank you!

Most desktop gadgets use built-in features of Windows, the same plumbing as Internet Explorer. It's possible that some use Mozilla technology, but I think those still communicate directly to the internet without starting/using Firefox.
If you got this gadget from Dell, perhaps they offer an update for it. If not, does it have any kind of updater built-in or if you click through to its website (wherever the data comes from), is there any explanation there?
