Why are the most add-ons not compatible with thunderbird vs 38.1.0?

Since a few weeks I use Thunderbird 38.1.0.

But when I will get some add-ons, the site informs me that all the add-ons are not compatible with my version of Thunderbird 38.1.0.

I use windows 7 Pro 64.

Please can anybody help me with this problem?

You need to ask the add on author. Thunderbird has no control over 3rd party software development.
