How do I download Firefox ESR 38.1?

Firefox 39.0 does not play well with some of my work applications. I need to upgrade to ESR 38.1, but cannot find the upgrade link. Can I be directed to the link?

You can find it on this FTP server: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.o.../win32/. Open the folder corresponding to your language and download the .exe file.

The much better place is https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/

Hi lnewlin, Lets try and look at the problem and the potential solutions. If you have a problem with a particular public Firefox addon let us know as there may be a workaround or alternative.

You should only consider installing ESR if you are supported by your IT department.

If you just have problems with a couple of sites or applications related to work it will be easiest to use the well respected but unofficial Firefox portable ESR build. That is easy too install as an additional browser on your computer, or even on a memory stick. It does not Interfere with your Standard Firefox Release.

It needs no complicated steps with profiles and install locations.

If you have support of your IT department they will probably suggest using the official version, as an additional browser with its own additional Firefox profile, and using a custom install location. That allows you to use Firefox Release for day to day private browsing and the ESR for work purposes.

You also appear to have posted from an old Firefox 36. That is outdated and not secure. You should update immediately:
