i normally download beta updates via softpedia (do you recommned somewhere else?) they give versions as beta 2,beta 3 etc. where is the correaltion ? why doesnt ff give me the beta version (i think it used to in the information box some releases ago) thanks for the help
Whoops, I forgot about about:buildconfig (typed in the URL bar) - then click hyperlink under Source -- Built from.
Yeah, I wouldn't download Firefox from anywhere except from Mozilla. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/ http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
about:buildconfig does not help. your web link is ok but why doesnt the main page show the version ? i have to click to download before i can see if there is a new one
i still do not understand why firefox itself does not show the build (40 b3) david
Note that about:buildconfig can be accessed via the Help > Troubleshooting Information page (about:support).
You can find the source stamp in the application.ini file in the program folder and make a link if you do not want to open Firefox.
