How can I change my newtab from the tiles view to a custom newtab such as a local html file?

I have the browser.newtab.url setting changed to my local HTML file, but it just keeps going to the tiles page.

hi SniperJoe, support for this preference has been removed - please use https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/ instead. thank you!
