my messages are gone from my inbox, how do I get them back? I am able to receive new messages but have lost what was in my inbox.

Please be explicit in responding for I am a novice. I upgraded my computer. Had problems receiving and was able to solve that through this forum but I've lost my messages that were already in there. I did go to Threads and click on All messages but that didn't solve the problem. Please help. Thank you.

Follow the instructions in the article. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Disappearing_mail

If this will bring back your messages I don't know. But it may help to avoid these kind of problems in the future.

If you do have a backup of your profile you can just restore what's been lost.
