I have a new laptop running Windows 8.1. Somehow, during the installation of Microsoft Office (or possibly during a Windows update) Firefox has been replaced by Bing. I cannot access Firefox in any way as any attempt to do so results in this stupid Bing page being displayed.

Chosen solution

Hi, first see if you can reset the home page by clicking on Restore to Default as shown in this article - How to set the home page. Then restart Firefox. If Bing doesn't return, you probably don't need to do anything else.

If it does, please try working through Remove “Search with Bing” toolbar (Virus Removal Guide) by Malware Tips.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.
