Backing up bookmarks & opening in saved folder shows jibberish??

I have firefox bookmarks saved on (2) different computers that show differently when opened?? After i save bookmarks as a backup to a folder the name & date is there with file extension of .json. If i open these same type bookmarks on my laptop computer, they show as the file attached here?? This does not happen on my desktop computer? Why? Could it be because i tried open with firefox as a format????? View attached file.

JSON files don't have any line breaks. Usually when a JSON file is opened in Firefox it's just one very long line of text and keyboard punctuation marks. The image you uploaded is out of the "norm" being that is has "lines" of data and not one long line.

JSON files aren't considered "human-readable" per se.

This all started after i saved bookmarks to a folder & then right clicked on it to "open with". At least the thing still opens ok on my web page.
