How do I move bookmarks imported from internet explorer from the folder so they show when I click Bookmarks
The imported bookmarks are in a folder whereas if I create a new bookmark in Firefox it just appears when I click bookmarks. How please can I move the IE ones over?
Chosen solution
Hi, does this help? Just open the IE folder and drag each bookmark to wherever you want it (hopefully you don't have too many), then when the folder is empty, right click > Delete.

What exactly are you trying to do here?
Are they already in the Bookmarks Manager, or are you getting ready?
The Bookmarks Manager works just like the file browser on the computer. Bookmarks (files) can be moved, or removed the same way.
Thanks both of you. Sorry, I expressed myself badly.
I have imported the bookmarks from I.E. and they appear in a folder called From Internet Explorer on the bookmarks drop down menu. If I bookmark new pages, they appear immediately on the bookmark drop down without having to open a folder. What I want to do is to get the I.E. items out of the folder, visible immediately in the same way.
I hope this is clearer, what I want really is a screen shot, but the snipping tool won't do it!
They are in a folder, but you want to move them to another folder?
You make new bookmarks, but don't know where they are?
The way you are talking (above), I do not fully understand what you want.
Sorry to be so difficult - if only I could get a screen shot!
When I click Bookmark it is as follows:
Show all bookmarks Bookmark this page Subscribe to this page Bookmarks Toolbar Folder - Mozilla Firefox Folder - Banks Dashboard OXBE Folder -From Internet Explorer Unsorted Bookmarks
The Dashboard item is one that was added from a page opened on Firefox. What I want is the bookmarks contained in the I.E folder to be listed with the Dashboard item when I open the bookmarks menu rather than having to go to the I.E. folder. This was how it was before I had to do a reset of Firefox. I hope this helps!

Many many thanks. That works! Unfortunately there are a lot and one cannot select more than one aT A TIME, SO i'm going to be busy! Thanks again to all
The <Shift> and <Control> keys should work in the Bookmarks Manager.
