Hi, I think that you are perhaps referring to the Firefox Start Page, so have a look at How to set the home page. I suggest you 'Restore the default home page,' and see if that fixes the problem.

Yes, check the home page setting first.

BTW, what are the pages that are opening? Ads? That could mean ad-ware.
