I keep getting message that something went wrong please refresh

Ever since I updated Firefox 2 or 3 days ago, getting onto Facebook is very slow and sluggish. Every time I try to play a game I get an error message that something went wrong, please refresh. I have refreshed Firefox and checked all my plugins for the latest updates and that did not help at all.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
