I restored my computer, so I have a new installation. I tried to log in to Firefox sync without success. At work, I am already log in and I tried to manage my account but it will ask for my user name and password. Tried it...and nothing. I tried re-setting the password but I never get an email. I've check the junk and so forth and nothing. I've tried to contact support but I can't seem to find a way to reach them. All the help options for this issue do not help or apply to my issue. I don't want to loose all my passwords. When at work, Firefox works correctly, I just can't log in to my account at Firefox sync. I need to be able to log in at home. Is there something that can be done WITHOUT erasing all my user name and passwords for the different sites that I have accounts with?

Thank You for your Help.

Sorry that you are having a problem with Sync, but when requesting a new Password for Sync your user data is wiped from the server. Unless I misread what you posted, your data is gone.

What about other devices connected to that same Sync account? Your data should still be on the other devices.

Make sure that you allow cookies for the accounts.firefox.com domain if you aren't allowing cookies generally or use the 'Ask me' cookie setting. Various data is stored in localStorage and sessionStorage, so make sure that DOM storage is enabled.

Yes, my other computer is connected to the same account. Yes, on my other computer data is still there.

I don't understand why requesting a new password will wipe the data from the server...I guess that's a different issue.

If my data is still on the server is there a way to get it back? I don't want to reset all passwords to every loin that I have on Firefox sync. If my data is on the other computer, how do I get it from that computer?

Why Can't I log in to Firefox Sync?

I could not figure out how to allow cookies from:

accounts.firefox.com

The currently used new Sync version still uses the Sync key to encrypt data locally before uploading, but this Sync key is generated internally from the password of your Firefox account, so you no longer need to worry about it. This means that the Sync key changes when you change the password of the Firefox account and you lose all data stored on the Sync server doing that.
