"Error: exposing privilege or cross post not allowed" keeps popping up when I use Firefox. I think it did an update this morning. Msg pops up repeatedly supposedly from various pages then msg offers to stop further pop ups but it doesn't stop them. Have to switch back to MS Explorer. Firefox unusable.

Chosen solution

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...
