My sincere apologies, my Mcafee came via Optimum/Cablevision, not Mozilla. I have managed now to resolve my issue and appreciate the 2 above responses. Thank you.

Hi HarvL, Please look up the instructions on the Mcaffee site, however if there is a plugin in Firefox , its possible to uninstall it with these instructions:

  1. Open up Add On from the Firefox menu or go to about:addons
  2. Click on the Add on/ plugin that you would like to remove and click "Remove"

Restart Firefox to make sure that the changes have taken affect. Did this help?

The Mcafee site only services those with paid subscritions, the Mozilla version was free so I do not have a validation code to use there. Thanks.

Hmm, where did you get this free version? I wonder whether it is actually the real thing.

To research the links for older downloads, you can use the download section of the Library dialog. Press Ctrl+j to pop that up. You can right-click > Copy Download Link to find out the source site.
