For bookmarks:

  • Click on the Bookmarks button and select Show All Bookmarks to open bookmarks library. (You can use these keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + B)
  • In the Library window, click the Import and Backup button and then select Backup...
  • Save the file in your preferred place on hard drive.

But I'm not sure about extension. So here is a idea from my side that, Connect your account with sync. See this for help: How do I set up Firefox Sync From the Sync settings, choose only bookmarks and add-ons. Hope it may help.

You could backup the bookmarkbackups folder and the extensions folder in the Firefox profile folder, but that may still leave you without data that is possibly saved by an extension (e.g. the NoScript whitelist). So you can check if you can export such settings in an extension that can be configured that way. Some extension store this data in a pref (prefs.js) and other may use a file or folder in the Firefox profile folder.

It is usually best to install extensions, so the get initialized properly.

Both answers combined to help solve the problem. It would be good if more than one answer can be selected as "Chosen Solutions", because this situation occurs often in forums.

Thank you to both of you!

Kind regards.
