Why does firefox asks for a squid password everytime I open a new tab?
Hi there, Since the last update, when I open a new tab, firefox asks me for user/pass for my squid/ntlm proxy. I can cancel and everything works, but it should not ask. It seems it wants download some content for the new tab page. This should work fine, because it has already credentials. It tries to connect to tiles.services.mozilla.com:443 , but does not use cached credentials.
Hope I could help and thanks for your support! :)

Thanks for responses. The proxy is needed to communicate with the internet, because the firewall will block anything else. I changed the new tab to classic or empty, that fixed it as well.

Please set the following values to false in about:config.
- network.automatic-ntlm-auth.allow-proxies
- network.negotiate-auth.allow-proxies
Hope this helps someone out there :).
