logging onto the forum
I have already created an account but now the Thunderbird forum is not accepting my log on details.
Can anyone help please?

What Thunderbird forum as the account you used to post this thread is for all of support.mozilla.org including the different product sections mentioned in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/
The old Thunderbird forum at http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging has been retired as Thunderbird support was moved to sumo as of February 21, 2014.

In order to post your question you had to be logged in to the forum, so clearly it is accepting your logon to the forum.
Thank you for getting back to me. I admit if I am able to log onto the Mozilla support page then my password is being accepted. Why, in that case has it refused my log on details when I have tried again just now to log onto the TB forum. It doesn't make any sense. Perhaps the problem is your end. I have found through previous experience that the TB forum is not the easiest to log onto.
