I have been trying to remove the Ask toolbar and Ask.com from my system. I have been using the control panel. I keep getting a 1316 error. What is that error and how can I accomplish my task?

hello plottc, you could try if this microsoft fixit tool helps you uninstalling the ask toolbar: http://support2.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall ...or you could try a third-party tool like adwcleaner in order to remove unwanted adware.
