IDM has been picking up "openh264-win32-v1.1-Firefox33.zip" every so often ever since I upgraded to 33.0.3 [presently on 33.1]. It gets pretty annoying. I am aware there is now H.264 support, but I assumed this would be taken care with the upgrade, not some manual install...

This thread doesn't really help, but it does describe how the download will just keep popping up: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1013339?esab=a&as=aaq

I found another thread on this issue here but it doesn't offer any solutions: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2886203

Anyways, how can I get Firefox to stop sending it?

This is a file that Firefox downloads if there is an update for the Cisco OpenH264 plugin available. I don't know why IDM intercept this request. It could possibly has to do with the file extension or the way that it is requested.
