I have tried everything and eventually deleted all profiles, extension files and folder and uninstalled/reinstalled the software. but no matter what I cant reach the add-ons place to look or download any add-ons. Plz help as to what I should do... I checked online and tried the general solutions. none of them have worked. let me know what I can supply more to help out.

you could try to check in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > network > connection - settings... that firefox is set up to directly connect to the internet ('no proxy').

Make sure that your security software or router isn't blocking the connection.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Yields nothing after the virus scan and stuff. Which is expected since I have active antivirus on it.

However one strange thing I noticed is I can access this from the home network. I cant get to it from my work wireless network. Is that possible that they block access to only 1 site?

Ahhh That is very possible. Check with your manager.
