I was using an autohotkey script to insert Turkish characters on a windows 8.1 64bit pc. I cannot do this now in Firefox. I tried switching my keyboard language settings to Turkish. Same result. So the problem is not the script that I am using. Copy-paste works but somehow keyboard input does not. Is there a setting I should change or any other suggestions?

So, I tried to copy and paste Turkish from translate.google.com into the url bar and the google search worked just fine: testi tercüme

However I am not using a script to do this or keyboard input. You can change the layout: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258824 - How to change your keyboard layout
