Everything was fine and now all of a sudden when I get a work email in Outlook, it does not open in a separate Adobe window. It now opens as an additional firefox tab. I dont want this to happen.

Please help.

Hello,

Do all PDFs open in Firefox now? If so then it seems your Default Programs have been changed in Windows.

If you have a PDF file saved on your computer handy:

  1. Right click on the PDF and Properties
  2. Under the General tab, beside "Opens with" is probably Firefox, click the button "Change"
  3. Select Adobe Reader and press "OK"

Alternatively if you cannot find a PDF file saved on your computer:

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Default Programs
  2. Click Associate a file type or protocol with a program
  3. Scroll until you find the filetype ".pdf"
  4. Click the "Change program..." button
  5. Select Adobe Reader followed by "OK"

Hopefully that fixes it for you.
