HOW DO I DEFEAT YOUR BLOCK OF MY ABILITY TO "TRACK" PACKAGES WITH THAT FEATURE IN THE SHIPPER'S NOTICE OF SHIPMENT?
FOR INSTANCE, I RECENTLY RECEIVED A SHIPMENT NOTICE FROM AMAZON; TO THE FAR RIGHT-HAND SIDE OF THE NOTICE IS A "TRACKAGE PACKAGE" OPTION. WHEN I CLICK ON THAT, I GET A PROMPT THAT FIREFOX HAS BLOCKED THE ATTEMPT. I WOULD LIKE TO OVERRIDE THAT, OR AT LEAST BE ABLE TO DO SO ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS.

Please provide a screenshot of that "prompt" or message.

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.
Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.
If the problem is that the site wants to redirect to a new page and Firefox is showing a bar asking your permission, you can turn off that kind of block here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General mini-tab
Uncheck the box for "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"
Otherwise, I agree we need more information.
Also, FYI, writing in ALL CAPS is considered shouting. Please don't shout at the volunteers.

Thank you. Sorry about using all caps; I have serious cataracts and cannot afford corrective surgery at this time. Using all caps helps me see the text; no shouting or other offense intended, and you certainly have my apologies.
btw, the "message" I repeatedly receive is "Firefox prevented this site from opening a pop-up window." I'm just trying to determine how to "allow" the pop-up.

See this KB article - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pop-blocker-settings-exceptions-troubleshooting
No worries. You also could consider using the zoom feature for enlargement. To set a higher zoom level by default, you can use an add-on.

Thanks so much for your efforts to assist.
When I click on the "track package" option, I do get the message "Firefox prevented . . . ." However, none of the options referred to in the article re pop-ups is available on my screen.
Obviously, even though this probably is relatively simple, it is beyond my capabilities.
So, I'll continue to use Firefox as my principal search engine, and will track packages on the UPS and FedEx sites.
Sorry to be such a klutz.
Bill
Hi Bill, I'm not sure which site exactly wants to show a pop-up, but if Firefox is showing a message that it is blocking the pop-up, you also should have a button to show it or unblock it.
If you don't have that button, perhaps McAfee or another add-on is blocking it.
wanoelljr, the Mozilla Firefox or Firefox is a web browser and not a search engine. Your homepage may be about:home which yes does have a Google search box.
You can use the NoSquint extension to set font size (text/page zoom) and text color on web pages.

You see a pop-up block icon on the location bar that allows to make changes to pop-up settings.
If you click that icon then the drop down list shows a list of blocked pop-ups.
