Yours is one of 3 posts in the last 10 minutes on this issue. It could be the site. I'll take a look.

after you press attach dont you have the option to choose your files?

Could you check your pop-up setting for google.com? Here's how:

While you have the compose window on the screen, click the padlock in the address bar.

  • If the pop-up permission is listed there as Block, try changing it to Allow.
  • If the pop-up permission is not listed there, click More Information to launch the Page Info dialog, then click Permissions in the top bar. Scroll down to "Open pop-up windows", uncheck the box for "Set default" then click Allow and close the dialog.

Then try the paper clip again. Success?

Unfortunately, that is "Google-wide" and not limited to mail, so... other pop-ups are possible that you've never noticed before.

No, nothing at all. It's as thought the button is null. When i do it in internet explorer, it works as it should. So, I don't really know what to do from here. I'm running Firefox v.31.0 if that information is needed at all.

Well, it's working now. Weird. I didn't do anything, but it appears to have been a temporary issue for me. Thanks anyway :) Much appreciated!

Firefox 34.0 seems to fix the recent problem with attaching files to emails; go to Help and About Firefox and update.
