Firefox freezes up for 10 seconds or so
Love all the features Firefox offers but DANG! Quite often when you do an Update, it causes Firefox to HANG on many sites at various times for no apparent reason.
Facebook is one of them, but there are several others that have gotten hung up lately since the Update .
I really wish you would not update so often. When you do it causes problems. That goes for yahoo too. Almost every time they update they cause problems with the browser.
I really wish you would make it easy to revert back if we want to. I am more than willing to risk security problems (I have good anti-malware and anti-virus, firewalls etc) in order to keep my browser working well. I would prefer Firefox work than Firefox to be more secure and not work.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;
Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences
Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.
I implemented the first solution (getting rid of extra Shockwave version) and that does seem to help but I'm still having odd issues with Firefox 31. It occasionally crashes and slows up . I haven't tried the 2nd part yet but will try that next. It seems every time Firefox and Yahoo Mail "update" to "new, better" versions I end up with problems.
