Since I'm now on a new computer using Win 7 home premium, I need a new ad blocker for Firefox. When I try to open some website, nice ones, I get so many ads popping in from all directions, that I can't see the web site. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Thanks, Adblock did the trick, or at least 95% of it. One wildlife site I visit used to have 9 different ads load on top of each other, now I have none. All the ads were powered by "focus base". I ran Malwarebytes and found 144 instances of it. It looks like it renewed itself each time I closed an ad. It is now gone and Malware bytes has stopped focusbase at least a dozen times since then. Thanks much.
