I have configured FF to the UK dictionary and removed the US one. When I am writing comments in Yahoo UK, (via FF) my spelling is being checked with an American dictionary.

How can this be, and is it a fault with FF or Yahoo ??

IanGreen, Of course , there is a feature in the about:config page, "spellchecker.dictionary" make sure this is set to en_UK

and it may be one more, have you tried this: layout.spellcheckDefualt set to different, try each of these: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Layout.spellcheckDefault
