You said you've tuned off hardware acceleration and "plugins, too". Did you mean you disabled your Firefox extensions? Extensions are different from plugins. To find the correct solution to your problem, we require some more non-personal information from you. Please do the following:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu , click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information.

Now, a new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.

  • At the top of the page, you should see a button that says "Copy text to clipboard". Click it.

Just to cover all bases, does Firefox still crash in Firefox Safe Mode ?

Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration as well as certain other settings, and disables extensions and themes.

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu , click Help Help-29 and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
  • If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:

On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode". Safe Mode Fx 15 - Win

Run in Firefox Safe Mode for a reasonable amount of time and visit the same sites you usually do, then post back and let us know if Firefox crashes or not. .

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

I understand you,but the thing is that the crash occurs suddenly and may not be for a few days, I really need some extensions I use them almost every day!To check for certain, it is necessary to use somewhere week in a safe mode! The crash signature gfxContext::PushClipsToDT(mozilla::gfx::DrawTarget*) for both crash reports is graphics-related and it's one of the top crashers. There are multiple bug reports on this crash, both fixed and open.

Note bug 805406#c33 said disabling hardware acceleration made the crash go away. Since you already have hardware acceleration turned off in Firefox my suggestion was to run in Firefox Safe Mode to see if disabling all extensions had any effect.

I still think you should follow the troubleshooting steps explained in Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems but what I'll do is escalate this to the Helpdesk to see if someone there has any other ideas.

Since you have experienced additional crashes since your initial post, it could help if you furnished those crash report IDs:

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste that into the "Post a Reply" box.
