How do i restore my data with the firefox recovery key?
So my laptop was recently reimaged. I was able to get a Firefox recovery key before everything was deleted. When I downloaded Firefox on the Re-Imaged machine, I was asked to sign in. After several password resets, i was in. None of my data came down from the "firefox cloud". It doesn't give me an option to enter the recovery key. Is there a way to get all my stuff back?

Firefox sync was never meant to be a backup service, you should always have a hard copy of your data.
You can do this, although there is no guarantee it will work.
- Download firefox 28 from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/28.0/win32/en-US/.
- Do not stay on 28, it is not secure, but we will use it to get your old sync data back
- Use your recovery key to connect to your Sync account, see if you can download your data. If it works, please do the following step
- Update to Firefox 30 Update Firefox to the latest release
- Update to the new Sync Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more
