I am having an issue with my Thunderbird, it loads properly when I start it up, and everything appears fine. However, my received emails have stopped updating since the 20th, and I have checked several times to see if I am receiving any emails at all, and it turns out I'm not.

After waiting several minutes or by closing Thunderbird, I get prompted with a message saying

"Login Failed" in which it states "Login to server mail.comcast.net failed."

I am not sure why this could be happening, I am wondering if I missed some update for Thunderbird. I have tried updating my Windows 7 to a more current state, and nothing. I doubt it has anything to do with my internet also. Any idea on what is wrong with my Thunderbird? or if there is some other reason that my Thunderbird could be acting this way?

Thanks, Wavez

Chosen solution

Be sure that you have selected POP3 server as comcast.net does not support IMAP.
