why does trend think your installer is a virus?
Hello Firefox support,
I am just curious about why Trend would think your installer is a virus? it is, according to the latest Trend Titanium v7.0.1240 in Win8 x64, it is reportedly a TROJ_GEN.R0CBH02EM14
In any case, it allowed this installation and the product works, I would just like to know why the executable was flagged as infected.
Many thanks for your time
Te Mutu

When I key in the url http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ on http://global.sitesafety.trendmicro.com/result.php it gets a clean bill of health.
I have also tried submitting the same Mozilla URL to virus Total (https://www.virustotal.com/en-gb/#url) and also specifically the en-us Windows firefox file link https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-29.0.1-SSL&os=win&lang=en-US I used the rescan option and both again get a clean bill of health 0/52 detections
Te Mutu Possibly if you ensure your trend micro software is updated it will show Firefox is ok now. AFAIK the main releases from Mozilla servers have never had malware on them. I do however recall such reports in the past which have turned out to be temporary false positives.

From where are you trying to download Firefox?? Download it from here:
Hello Aman,
Yes, that is where I went. I figure Trend just needs to catch up here; I know the location is trusted, and that the installer is genuine.
Perhaps I should post this question on a Trend forum
Thanks again
