Why Does Firefox Come with the Babylon Search Virus?!
Why on earth would Firefox come with a f***ing virus attached to it? Babylon Search is one of the most annoying viruses/trojans I have ever encountered--and it comes attached to Firefox! That's it...I'm done with Firefox...long live Explorer. I had to go to great lengths to get rid of the thing and then delete Firefox in its entirety. Yeah...that's the hallmark of a great browser and a great company...you download it and it installs a virus on your computer. Way to go Firefox. My advice to anyone thinking of installing Firefox: DON'T DO IT!!!!! Save yourself the headache and just use IE.

Babylon does not come[s] attached to Firefox!
Babylon software may be available, and it appears you have inadvertently downloaded and installed it.
Some of the software may be considered legitimate and be desired by some users. Anyone with problems may be interested in

Well...actually, it does. I specifically unchecked the box that "asked" if I wanted it, only to be infected with it anyway. And it's a nightmare to get rid of it entirely. I was truly surprised that a supposedly reputable site would allow something like that...Firefox plus free malware.
Firefox is not worth the time and aggravation...it really doesn't do anything that IE doesn't do...well, except it infects your computer with one of the most pernicious pieces of malware I've come across in a while. Oh...Firefox also didn't even play video when it was first installed...only a black screen came up, no video...that took some effort to get corrected. All the while, the Babylon search malware embedded itself more and more. Honestly, Firefox is garbage....just not worth it. Take a look at all the people posting here that had to waste time getting video to play...and figuring out how to get rid of the Babylon search virus. I'm not the only one.
Babylon doesn't come with Firefox, when you download Firefox from an official Mozilla website or download mirror.
Where did you download Firefox from?
Mozilla doesn't ask what you want to have installed along with Firefox; sure tip-off that you obtained Firefox from other than an official site.

If there is a problem with the build-in about:home page then try to reset the search engine used on the about:home page.
Reset the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone pref via the right-click context menu to the default on the about:config page and close and restart Firefox to restore the about:home page to its default.
- Open the about:config page via the location bar
- Type in the Filter bar: mstone
- Right-click the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone line and select: Reset
- Close and restart Firefox
If this didn't help then delete the delete the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder and repeat the above.
Sad to say, it was downloaded from the site...I've since fixed it but it took some doing. A lot of people have had this problem with Firefox, not just me.
Anyway...as I said, I'm done with Firefox...I've never had a problem with IE and Firefox isn't worth the trouble. There's really nothing Firefox can accomplish that can't be accomplished with IE.
Thanks for your help.
that funny, i've been using firefox for absolutely ages, on 3 machines ranging from windos xp to windows 7 and non of them have got it, and on 1 of them i do the beta thing???
So i can say that it didnt come from firefox.
