How can I view attachments I have included when composing a new mail message? I can do so in OS X mac mail and would prefer to use Thunderbird if I can solve this difference. Display attachments inline is checked but only works for incoming mail. Thank you

so your trying to insert an image into your message, not use an attachment. Try using the insert icon on the editing toolbar to insert an image.

Please help me. I am not sure what your answer means for my problem.

The answer you got was that one of the admins has moved your request to Thundebird... I assume it was posted as a firefox issue initially.

but I really don't know what your issue here is.

I just created a mail, added an attachment and double clicked on it and it opened. Have you installed any add-ons that might make Thunderbird behave differently?

Thanks for your interest. In OS X mail it is automatically opened when you attach it so you can see how it will look in the message. That is what I am trying to accomplish.
