Firefox won't load any websites!
NOTHING WORKS! I can't visit ANY websites unless I use the google toolbar to search the web and then click on it! FIREFOX IS USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!
My most recent websites visited on the dropdown, I should be able to click on one and I go to the page. NEW VERSION OF FIREFOX WON'T DO IT!!!! I should be able to type in say: yahoo.com and hit the arrow or use my 'enter' button but NEW VERSION OF FIREFOX WON'T DO IT!!!!
I can't go to any websites without using the google toolbar attached to my web address area where I can search for yahoo, then I can click on the yahoo link and then FINALLY go to a website.
Could firefox be any more useless than that? As someone that has used Firefox for 12 years this is the only time this has happened and I absolutely despise it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just downloaded the previous version (prior) to being forced into using this new version for the second time and that version works flawlessly! So, no, it's not my computer or some random setting.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems accessing websites.
This support inquiry is marked as an issue with a Firefox OS mobile device, but it seems that you are having problems with the Firefox browser on your computer, is this correct?
My understanding from your message, is that your Address Bar is not working at all. Is this correct?
What happens if you click on the Address Bar, type "www.google.com" and press Enter? What happens if you press the arrow down key, and then press Enter on one of your previously visited websites?
Please describe the behavior, and the exact steps that you are taking in detail, so that we can better understand what is happening.
In the meantime, you may also attempt the following steps. Please let us know what you have tried, and what were the results:
- Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
- Try downloading and installing Firefox Beta. Some issues and bugs may have been fixes on that version - Download Firefox Beta Here
We hope that this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks!!
- Ralph
The previous version of Firefox works perfectly.
When I type say, "google' in the address bar, NOTHING happens when I click enter.
When I try the arrow down key to visit a website NOTHING happens.
It's extremely frustrating as I rely heavily on my go to web browser!
There are no error messages, no hourglasses or anything, literally there is NOTHING! It just sits on whatever page I'm on as if I am just sitting here looking at the screen, nothing happens!
I went through all your useless help menus and 'try this to fix it' nothing works!
All I can say with 100% certainty is that it is the new version of Firefox that is faulty. Chrome works perfectly, IE sucks but it works perfectly and when I load the previous version of Firefox, it works perfectly. Only this new version has this problem.
I deleted history, cookies etc... I reset and re-downloaded it 3x. I haven't done the beta yet, but seriously? I have to go through all this nonsense to possibly, but not likely at this point fix a screw up on your software?
Nothing is resolving the issue. My suggestion to your superiors... if it ain't broke don't fix it!!!!! That and fire the entire IT dept that coded this piece of crap!
But thank you for at least replying Ralph, I'm not angry with you, just in general. I really don't need this inconvenience right now.

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the
previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as
trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet
again:
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version)
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back. For detailed instructions, see Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
Clear the Cache
Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
and
Remove Cookies
Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy.
Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings.
There is a button on the right side called Show Cookies.
If there is still a problem,
Start Firefox in Safe Mode
While you are in safe mode;
Firefox Options > Advanced > General.
Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware.
Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is
there for. Also,
check the programs that are on your computer
Windows > Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs.
Go thru the list and use a web search to check any that you don't
know what they are.
