my "tab" key now shows my other open windows, rather than tab to the next field.
While in a program (Quickbooks) I used to be able to tab to the next field when entering items, now when i hit the tab key, i get a pop-up showing the other windows i have open. How do I turn this feature OFF? It is most annoying and time consuming.

It is possible that some of the status keys like the Ctrl or Alt have the wrong state and Firefox sees them as still pressed.
Try to press all the status keys (Shift, Ctrl, Alt) a few times to see if that helps to recover from this.
If it doesn't help then close and restart Firefox or reboot the computer.
