View and disable the extension
You can view and disable extensions that have changed your New Tab, New Window or home page from the General panel of Firefox Settings as follows:
- In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click and select (select on older macOS versions).Click the menu button
and select .
- Click .
- Under Home page, it will indicate whether an extension has changed your home page.
- Click How to set the home page. to disable the extension that has changed your home page. To set a new home page, see

- Under When Firefox starts, it will indicate whether an extension has changed your New Tab page.
- Click to disable the extension that has changed what you see when you open a new tab or window.
- Under Home page, it will indicate whether an extension has changed your home page.

Remove the extension completely
- Click the menu button
then click .
- Click Extensions and look for the extension that made the changes to your New Tab or home page.
- Click the button next to that extension.
