I'm on a MacBok Pro. I lost the menu bar when I entered full screen as you would expect but when I exited fullscreen it didn't come back! Not only that but now I have to click out of firefox to get the dock. Why? How? What can I do to fix this?! What other info can I give? I've been through the forums. I can't access Firefox preferences without a menu bar. It seems there is a forum where people are wanting to achieve this affect but it is not written into the program so I'm figuring it is not just something that happens. Should I delete and reinstall firefox?

On Mac it shouldn't be possible to hide the menu bar as that is under control of the Mac OS.

Doesn't it help to close and restart Firefox or reboot the computer?

Try to remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Go to "~/Library/Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist)

You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file.
