Retrieval using the IMAP4 protocol failed for the following message: 18241 comes up every time I use Hotmail. works OK on my G-Mail account. Started after I was forced to delete and reload the programme.

To further complicate matters My outlook account works perfectly

Please post a screenshot of that error. Also, see if anything relevant shows up in the Error Console:

- press Ctrl-Shift-J

- click the Trash can on the upper left to clear the console

- make sure the 'Errors' tab is the only one selected

- try Hotmail

- if there are errors, R. click > Copy Message or Copy all Messages > paste here
