Getting Thunderbird to work properly with an exchange server (using Owl).

mll2

My email is on a MS exchange server, and I have installed Thunderbird using Owl. My Thunderbird email is my main email. A couple of weeks ago, it stopped working, I then reinstalled Thunderbird, but I had trouble configuring it on the exchange server (instead of POP3 or IMAP). I can receive my email but I always get an error when trying to send email Can anyone help me? I'm desparate. My IT person wants me to switch to Outlook (which works).. I do not wish to switch. Please help.

For Owl, presumably contacting the developer of the add-on would be your best bet.

Alternatively you could give the TB built-in Exchange implementation a try. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Exchange

Note, for the latter it would be best to use the latest release version of TB - currently v148.0. Make sure to first create a backup of your Thunderbird profile in case you're upgrading from an older version. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data#w_backing-up-a-profile https://support.mozilla.org/kb/thunderbird-release
