I have lost ability to send an email message. I can get email and I can write a message but I cannot send it. Nothing to click on.

Last week my system was being over run with images on my screen. I clicked something to stop the flow. But when I tried to send a new message there was nothing to click on to send the message. I have been using Thunderbird since about 1980. Can you make a suggestion that correct this problem? Thank you

- click 'new message' - if the menu bar is not visible, press the alt key - click view>toolbars and tick the composition toolbar
