I had 20 some tabs open looking for vehicles. I opened firefox as usual, it showed all my tabs fine, when I went to close firefox it warned me about closing multiple tabs. I found this unusual so I cancelled closing and verified in options that always restore tabs was still selected, it was. So I went ahead and closed firefox.

All of my tabs are now gone and the restore previous session isn't available. I need these back as I stated I was shopping for vehicles...

Sessions are stored in the below file. if just want those 20

  • sessionstore.jsonlz4 for open tabs and pinned tabs (see also the sessionstore-backups folder)

if just want those 20 take a copy and run it through this for the URL's : https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/scrounger_json.html

Take a copy and run history for those 20 tabs :

  • bookmarks and history: places.sqlite

https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/bookbackreader.html

If something is wrong with Sessions can try working on doing a new Profile and transferring some things over.

HI, off topic : Noticed Bing2Google Extension, are you having issues with Bing becoming your default search when it is not suppose to be ?

Sorry lost tabs/session. Please do a clean install : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 61.0.1 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi thanks for the response. I use Bing2Google paired with a Windows application called EdgeDeflector, it enables me to use Cortana to search directly to Google using Firefox. It's incredibly useful, I hope this extension isn't the problem.

This is also a brand new Custom PC build, brand new HDD and OS install almost week ago. I manually ran disk cleanup and defrag yesterday, they're set to do so automatically every week but as I said it hasn't been a full week yet.

So brand new everything. It's not like my tabs/session were cleared after the disk cleanup, they were there moments ago and then disappeared when I closed Firefox. Options "Always Restore" was checked and "Warn when I attempt to close multiple tabs" was unchecked. Weird that it warned me and then cleared the session all of the sudden...

Is there anyway to force "restore from a previous session?" or am I stuck with sorting through history?

I mainly wish to know if this has been heard of before and if it will be a reoccurring issue... I've never had this issue before, and I've used Firefox forever.
