I have two computers running Windows 10 Home version 1803 OS build 17134.112. On my Dell laptop I am able to add attachments to emails using the email program provided by my ISP which is Optimum in the Firefox browser. However, on my desktop, A Dell Inspiron One_2020, I am suddenly not able to add attachments when using Firefox (61.0 64-bit). When I click on my attachment icon. Windows Explorer opens to allow me to select a file. I select a file, click Open, and nothing happens. I have tried several different files with the same result. I am able to add attachments using Optimum email when I am in Microsoft Edge and I am also able to add attachments to my Yahoo mail account in Firefox. I am just suddenly unable to add attachments when using Optimum email in Firefox on this one computer.

I have tried clearing all history and cache and rebooting the computer to no effect. I called Optimum technical support and they say it is a Firefox problem that has also affected other customers. This seems odd since I am running the same version of Windows and Firefox on my laptop which is working fine. Is it a Firefox problem or is there something I can do to fix this?
