Will not open any websites?
Just let my Mac and my Windows PC upgrade to the latest version 57.0 and really wish I had not...
Now most of the sites that I am trying tom access will not load, it seems that Java is blocked, it also will not allow me to say this site is OK and just load it anyway, security seems to just be totally over the top and there does not seem to be any way of unblocking ANY site, even will not let me look at local servers on our network, does not allow any exceptions, and I cannot find any older versions now anywhere.
1. How do I download the previous version of Firefox? Because even Chrome and Safari are so much better than this version.
2. How can I get rid of all the security features, because they just make this totally unusable?
3. How do enable JAVA? tried installing latest version, but cannot even access local RAID front ends or Servers on our local network because of the security features in this new version.
4. 'Automatically Add' troubleshooting data does not do anything just comes up with a page stating it failed, very useful! TYried adding manually but then this screen states that the message is too long and cannot send it, again, VERY useful!
5. What has happened to Firefox, it really ewas a very easy and user-friendly software....

What's your computer system and Firefox version?
Firefox v52+ disables all plugins except for Flash Why do Java, Silverlight, Adobe Acrobat and other plugins no longer work? {web link}
Mac OSX and Firefox 57.0
Thanks for the info about ESR Release but this does not work either, we have now had to remove all Firefox Versions from all of our systems and revert back to Safari, we are still trying Firefox Quantum on 1 Mac and 1 PC to find a workaround but we just cannot find any information on turning off ALL of the security features that are stopping well over 80% of the websites that we need to access on a daily basis. The biggest issue for us is our Banking Websites, all use Java and we cannot get into any of them, on contacting our back they have told us to remove Firefox from all systems and either stick with Edge, Internet Explorer or Safari.
I would like to use Firefox but this latest release is a bloody nightmare, its good looking but totally useless, if it does not have the option to load any website that we need to access, it states that it cannot lo0ad the site for security reasons, we get a orange lock next to the address bar, clicking on this should get us to a drop down that then should allow us to just select load anyway or turn off security for this website, or at least from what google searches we have done, but we don't get any options like that, we just get a message stating that it is not safe and basically tuff! Not at all helpful.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?

Hi James, we should be able to solve this for you.
First, what is the specific error you get related to security features that you want to disable? Is it either of the full page errors described in these articles:
- What do the security warning codes mean?
- For a common error code displayed when you click the Advanced button: Troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites
Please copy/paste the error details and particularly the SEC_ERROR code into a reply so we can look at next steps.
Second, Firefox 52 and later do not support the Java plugin. They do natively execute JavaScript. If you require the Java plugin for your internal sites, you'll need to use a different browser. However, if the sites worked with Firefox 56, they should work with Firefox 57.
