'Open' does not open attachment - it saves it.

I find that when I right click an attachment and get the options to open, save as, detach, delete, if I click 'open' it offers me to save it. I'm sure this habit is quite recent and I wonder whether I told it to do the same thing to all future attachments of this type. But how do I get the 'open' to work properly again?

On the toolbar > Options > Attachments > incoming and remove the entry for the file type.
