My wife appears to be the victim of several scams, one from a company (perhaps) in Zurich, Switzerland, another from Nigeria and the third Nicosia, Cyprus. They all keep demanding more money before sending money she has been gifted, or, in the most serious case the return of £50,000 'invested' there. If we could show that they are not where they say, but in the UK, we could go to the police. You are just making it too easy for criminals.

You can see more information about the origin of messages by choosing View > Headers > All, and even more information about the origin and routing of messages by selecting View > Message Source. Did Outlook Express give you more than that?

It's helpful in that it shows informatation - using the term loosely - I had not been able to find, probably as much as Outlook Express gave, but it certainly doesn't solve the problem, as there is still no way to determine where an email actually came from.

Emails from the company/criminal gang who are scamming my wife call themselves Capstonefxeurope, which is shown as the originator of the emails, but there is no indication of where they are based. They may be in Zurich as claimed, but they could be in England, where they could be arrested for fraud.

The Mesage Source mentions Yahoo at several stages, but the rest is just a meaningless jumble of letters and numbers, devoid of any place names.

I was trying to add, this is probably the same with all email, but was unable to tack it on to the above. SO THERE IS NO SOLUTION, THE INTERNET IS STILL A HAVEN WHERE ROGUES CAN OPERATE WITH IMPUNITY.

Are you saying your wife has invested £50,000 / $40k in a scam !? As for money Gifted would that be from total strangers, or maybe winnings from lotteries where you do not remember purchasing tickets ?!
