Firefox finds many plugins that are preinstalled on your system...

Intel touts Identity Protection Technology as helping prevent identity theft by allowing websites to uniquely identify your computer, which can limit access from other computers if someone learns your username and password:

Okay, but I don't know that many websites use this feature. Is it really helpful or will they just switch to Plan B, like texting you a code?

If you find a site asking to use the plugin, you would want it to be a website you trust since that identifier bypasses any of Firefox's built-in privacy features (e.g., clearing cookies, private browsing, etc.). For that reason, I don't think "Always Activate" is a good idea.
