Some of the changes with the most user-facing impact:

- In addition, users can now also set up to four rows of Top Sites and Highlights: Bug 1400536
- Bookmark descriptions in the library got retired. Right now users can export a HTML-file of their existing bookmarks to back those up, in a later upcoming version those fields will be scrubbed from the places.sqlite database altogether: Bug 1463738
- Users are now offered to clear local profile data after they disconnect from Firefox Sync - Bug 1409208; New KB article: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/remove-synced-device-firefox-accounts
- Privacy: A Tracking protection toggle got added into the hamburger menu - Bug 1462468
- Privacy: A “Clear cookies and site data” button got added into the site identity control center - Bug 1462469
- Users with the containers feature enabled can now reopen an existing tab in another context - Bug 1376119
- Autoconfig will be restrained to just setting/locking preferences in release builds and will no longer be able to run arbitrary code. At the moment this can still be controlled through the general.config.sandbox_enabled preference - Bug 1455601
