I'm trying to access my https://mypay.dfas.mil account, but, though previously all was well, now an error message tells me that you "can't connect to the server".

I have a network connection, but apparently Firefox may no longer have "permission to access to the web". I'm sure this is wrong because I can still access pretty much everything in the normal way, including other government sites, such as Social Security, using the Login.gov portal, though mypay is not listed as 'connected.'

What happened, and how do I fix it? Also, the error message says that I should "Check that Firefox has permission". How do I do that?

I pay my utility bills online and the utility company websites won't load in firefox but do in edge. Also various other sites wont load with an error message captcha incorrect, but no captcha shows on the screen. It's getting frustrating waiting for websites to load and getting no results. Thank you, Ann DIngee

I can't find a place to control third party cookies in the Security section. I used to be able to donate on my church's website but now it doesn't work. I tried doing it with Microsoft Edge and it worked fine. I hate to erase all my history and cookies because it takes away log-in info on my regular websites. Any ideas? Thanks for your help Terri

For the past month or so, I'd say about 20% of the websites I visit using Firefox just show a blank, white screen. (See allbirds.com site image attached for example.)

1. Cleared the cache and cookies to see if that fixed it. It didn't. 2. Entered Troubleshoot Mode to see if that fixed it. It didn't. 3. Disabled all extensions to see if that fixed it. It didn't. 4. Disabled "recommended performance settings" and hardware acceleration--in combination with some of the above--to see if that fixed it. It didn't. 5. Reinstalled Firefox to see if that fixed it. It didn't. 6. Also paused/disabled VPN (Nord) and anti-virus (McAfee) to see if that made a difference. It didn't.

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Every time I try to view a pdf file on Firefox I can view the file but in the lower right 1/4 of the screen I get a graphic of a page with shaded areas representing lines with writing on them. There is a type of pen cursor moving along the line.

This happens with different pdfs - from the internet and from my saved files. This doesn't happen on another computer with Firefox.

I've deleted and redownloaded Firefox an number of times, also tried troubleshoot mode - no improvement. Virus scanned, restarted a number of times.

Pdfs work on edge and chrome and reader with no problem.

I have a screenshot.

Any Ideas? Thanks

I have check spelling enabled in Firefox. I use Firefox in English for technical reasons, but I write most of my emails in Hungarian. I was prompted to install a dictionary addon to be able to use Hungarian spell checking. I did install that addon, however I still can not choose any other language to spell check in but English. I would like to resolve this issue. My Firefox installation is very fresh, I am leaving Chrome in favor of Firefox and would like to stay. What I would have expected is that I install Hungarian, then the spell checker automatically identifies the language pack it needs to use.

Hi, In the last hour FF has stopped working completely. I made the mistake of using Ccleaner, which is probably the problem, I haven't had issues cleaning before, though I usually check the registry before deleting and don't recall seeing any entry for Mozilla (I may be wrong, though).

Firefox was working fine a couple of hours ago, but now it won't open at all, except in admin mode and then it won't open any links or tabs, not even settings. I've uninstalled FF, deleted the folder in the Programs folder, and reinstalled it from scratch, but there is no change (the one difference is that it wouldn't open in Admin after before I reinstalled it). Waterfox doesn't open either, but Thunderbird seems to work with no problems.

Thanks, Matt

When I try to compose a new email, or reply to one, the pane opens to compose the email, but immediately closes before I can enter anything, reverting back to the Inbox. A new, empty draft gets created. But there is no way I can create a new email. Problem does not occur on other browsers. If I open a "New Private Window" and sign in to Outlook, I can then create the email there, but after a while the same problem occurs in that window too. Tried clearing Firefox cache temp files and cookies, but that did not resolve the problem. Using web based Outlook, Windows 10. Firefox is up to date.

Any suggestions?
