Is there a TB basic instruction manual for simple things like italics eg

Simple typing things which vary from product to product - font/size/colour/bold/underline/italic should be settable, on or off anywhere in a message the user types (including replies). As in other clients TB's method to achieve these is probably unique. Since I haven't found any such basic info here (yet) I wonder if there is a manual or guide to get this from?

Chosen solution

If you press Ctrl+I on your keyboard it should turn italics on and off. You can do the same with selected text. This is similar to e.g. MS Word.

This only works when composing rich (HTML) messages, which is the default. When composing plain text messages, no formatting options are available.

When composing a new message, you can select formatting options from the toolbar in the message window. But you might be looking for keyboard shortcuts instead?

What I am looking for in particular is how to turn italics on and off when writing a response. I will try sending a separate message to do the response and using the features for composing a message as indicated above. This may be a way around the issue. I can't do that until tomorrow (European time) though. Thank you, Sander G.
